Welcome to the website of Milford Primary School. We are a small, caring and friendly school located in the village of Milford, Derbyshire, between Duffield and Belper on the A6. Please have a look around our website to find out a bit more about us and what we do.
Our school building is almost two hundred years old, but we are constantly working to make sure it is fit for the 21st century. During 2011/12 we completed two major building projects. The first was to lower our playground wall and the second was to convert three undercrofts into an activity area for our Reception children, giving them access to indoor/outdoor free-flow play opportunities. The new activity area was officially opened by Nigel Clough on 11th July 2012. Then last year we had the builders in again - during the Easter 2013 holiday, we had a new entrance area and office built - this project has considerably improved the logistics of getting into our building, as well as improving our levels of safeguarding. In the summer of 2014, the very old fire escape from Wye Class down into Pre-School will be replaced, completing a three year programme of renovation and improvement.
